Dear Mr. Thiessen

First of all I would like to thank you for the effort and time that you have put into putting together our many grad activities. Secondly, I would like to communicate my frustration to you.

Their were a lot of events planned for our grad class but none of the students really had much say in what we did. I know it is mostly our fault for not joining the grad committee. That was because none of us knew about it. And those people who had parents on the committee, their parents didn’t really listen to what we wanted to do. Also regarding the dance, even though it was not a school event, it would still have been nice if someone would have told us all in a big group what was happening.

I know there is not much that you can do about it but I jut wanted to let you know my perspective on these things. And I’m hoping that it will affect the way that you do grad activities in the future.

Thank you for taking your time to read my letter, and I hope that you will change the planning of future grad activities.
Sincerely

School Memories Story

My Worst day at school

So, have any of you had a day that you would consider your “worst day at school?” Well this is mine! In grade 2 we went outside for recess and it was raining really hard. It was a “green dot day”, which meant that we didn’t have to go outside if we didn’t want to, because of the bad weather, but you also could if you did want to. A few friends and I (from the older grades) decided to go out because no one else would be out on the playground, and we would have the whole place to ourselves. After playing on the swings for a bit they told me that they would push me on the tire swing. So we went over to the swing and I got on. I told them not to push until I was done opening my snack. Apparently they didn’t hear me and the next thing I know, I am being pushed into the air. I slipped off and fell backwards right into a puddle. I was soaked like dishes in a dishwasher.my friends took me to the office , they called my mom , and she said she might not be able to bring me clothes. So my teacher went to the lost and found and grabbed some clothes for me to change into. They were the worst….ugliest clothes I had ever seen in my entire life. They were funny colors, wrinkly; they smelt like a wet dog after a swim. It was so cold, I was wearing this stinky pair of shorts in the middle of winter, and it was horrible. Then finally my mom showed up and brought me some of my own clothes from home and I got to change. At least the worst day at school didn’t turn out so bad after all.
